Golden Terraforming Tea Wraps (GTTW)

Purpose:

  • To collect atmospheric moisture and precipitation for irrigation of desert trees.
  • To enhance tree survival and growth in arid environments.

Components:

  • Moisture Collection System:
    • Material: Copper Alloy that attracts and condenses water vapor.
    • Design: Conical or spiral shape to maximize surface area exposure to the air, aiding in dew collection during cooler night times.
    • Color: Naturally reflective to daytime heat but capable of absorbing radiative cooling at night.
  • Water Storage:
    • Reservoir: Integrated flexible bladder or small tanks within the structure of the wrap, made from durable, UV-resistant, food-grade plastic.
    • Capacity: Variable, scalable based on tree size and local climate conditions.
  • Water Distribution System:
    • Drip Irrigation: Micro-tubing with emitters positioned near roots for efficient water delivery.
    • Control Mechanism: Gravity-fed
  • Structural Support:
    • Frame: Lightweight, strong materials like maintain shape without constricting tree growth.
    • Adjustability: Velcro, zippers, or similar fasteners to adjust for tree growth and to allow for easy installation and removal.
